About Ohana Software
'Ohana is the Hawaiian word for Family.
Our goal is to help you discover and preserve your family history.
Our genealogy staff includes multiple seasoned genealogists with anywhere from 18-30 years experience. Working alongside our genealogists we have an experienced team of computer programmers that are passionate about making Family History work easier for everyone.
Our founder, John Vilburn, is a BYU computer science graduate and has had over 30 years of computer programming experience in a variety of fields and computer languages. He began developing genealogy software in 2001 when he wanted to find a better way to merge files and has since found his passion in genealogy software and the help that it gives to others.
