Superior Matching
FamilyInsights advanced matching method is as important for what it doesn't match, as for what it does. Many individuals that PAF's Match/Merge shows, FamilyInsight won't show - because they aren't really matches. PAF's Match/Merge considers a limited set of information when searching for matches. FamilyInsight looks at a broad range of information about each individual and their relationships. The result is fewer false matches and more correct matches, including some that PAF misses.

List Showing All Matches
With FamilyInsight you don't have to wonder how many matches you will have to go through. The Individual List shows all the matches right from the start.
Match Scoring
This guides you quickly to the most probable matches. Of course, no computer program can compare with human judgment. Which leads us to the next important feature...
Not A Match Marking
When you determine that a pair of records do not represent the same person, wouldn't it be nice to be able to tell the computer never to show that match again. With FamilyInsight you can! Just press the Not A Match button and that match will never be shown to you again.
Research Marking
Sometimes you aren't sure if the pair of records represent the same person. Now, with FamilyInsight, you can quickly mark those records for further research. When you select the Research button, a tagged note is added to both individuals. Later, you can search for that tag in PAF or another genealogy and find the reminder about the research you wanted to do.
More control of how Notes are merged
With FamilyInsight, you get complete control of how notes are merged. Differences in the notes are highlighted. You are given the choice of keeping the notes from the primary individual, the secondary individual, or the combination of the two. To top it off, you can edit the end result right on the spot.
